v8xp88xc and howdypal are right.you can bet any amount in no limit hold em, but in fixed and limit you have to bet a set amound or the pot size

Let's calrify with an example shall we... Once upon a time P1, P2, P3 and P4 were playing a texas hold'em... The blinds were at $1/$2. P3 posted the small blind and P4 the big. P1 was first to act and wanted to make a minimum raise, so he put $4 in the pot. P2 looked down at pocket jacks and raised up to $10. P3 folded. P4 looked down at his cards and found AA and decided to make a minimum raise... since P2 had raised with $6 (from $4 to $10) he had to put atleast $16 in to the pot

"i think the size of the minimum raise is just a house rule... it varies depending on where you play." If its a house rule then why is it mandatory it tournaments?, the minimum raise is always equal to or higher than the Big Blind, it has nothing to do with the previous action...
